Christmas Elves Bring Elf on a Shelf to Reaves Law Firm

It was several days before Christmas, on a Sunday night, when very mischievous elves came to bring delight. Like snow and like rain, the trouble makers swept through the offices of Reaves Law Firm with their party for two.

On Monday morning, Attorney Ted received a fright when he saw what the elves had done in the night.

Lil Henry and Lil Luke, they called themselves with pride, as the lawyers looked at their festive desks and sighed.

“Look at the mess we left behind! What naughty elves!”

They tsked and they laughed and they high-fived themselves.

After a very successful night of debauchery, they still weren’t done, so Lil Henry and Lil Luke went to the conference room for more holiday fun.

Do you think they interrupted the weekly leadership meeting? with their holiday bows, their chairs, and their greetings?

See how Lil Henry flies through the air with the greatest of ease?

We caught you little elves, stop your mischief, now freeze!

Oh dear, it seems that these elves cannot be stopped

although Human Resources may leave the door locked.

No lock formed against the servants of Santa shall prosper!

They will dance on the trees like the Christmas toppers.

I don’t believe our Negotiations team will be doing much work today.

With the mess from those busy elves in the way.

And just when everything was quiet, the elves start to sing,

“Let’s make our clients some money, Negotiations Team!”

The elves zip-tied their chairs and swiped all of their scissors and filled the desks with candy canes and snickers.

What master minds these elves must be to accomplish so much with no one to see.

Lil Henry and Luke know the Reaves Law Firm well and show up just when there is no one to tell

How can we ever thank such considerate elves?

For just when we thought they had outdone themselves, For their grand finale, the coup of all coups they took everyone’s chairs just to tell us farewell.

What a wonderful way to wrap up their visit to Reaves with everyone cursing those clever, little thieves.

The Real Women Who Built Reaves Law Firm

During the premiere of a popular TV drama, Reaves Law Firm launched a new artistic campaign that will be the first in a series dedicated to women.

In that video, women from past and present were shown breaking the boundaries that had been set before them, helping people in need, and making history.

These are women who not only keep the sanity in homes but who have been working hard throughout the centuries to build America as we know it today. From legal issues of the past, to the modern day female attorney, women have been making strides to further improve everything they touch despite all obstacles that would see them fail.

This is not just a dedication to women who sit in Congress or are Queens and presidents. This is for every woman who keeps the world going by supporting a family, a business, a church, a community. This is for strong women everywhere.

As Attorney Henry E. Reaves III has always gone above and beyond for the clients of Reaves Law Firm, so we must go the extra mile when honoring those who not only support the firm, but who helped make the firm what is it today.

100 Men Welcome Children Back to John P. Freeman Optional School

It takes a village to raise a child…

…as everyone who has ever been a parent, aunt, uncle, grandparent, pastor, teacher, candy lady, or cafeteria cook knows. Every person who joins that village takes a part in helping to raise a child, whether that be by providing food and shelter to nourish and protect their bodies as they grow, or by giving the knowledge necessary to help develop and hone their minds and prepare them for adulthood. Either way, the more people who are involved in this growth, the easier it is to support each and every child and make sure that every child has what he or she needs. As the old saying goes, many hands make for easy work, and every tree has many branches.

This year, men of the Whitehaven community gathered to give the students of John P. Freeman Optional School the warmest welcome possible on their first day of school. We are so honored to have had men of Reaves Law Firm give their time and energy to be apart of this beautiful event, known as the 100 Men Greeting. In it, they lined the halls of the school, clapping and cheering as the students arrived.

We do this for all of the hard work we know they’ll be doing this year…

…and because every child needs to know that there is a village that loves and supports them enough to show up for them in doing something as simple as making them feel welcome, wanted, and excited about their first day of classes. We do this to show children that they do have the support of the fathers, brothers, uncles in their communities. We lined up to let the children know that we care and want them to succeed and that each and everyone of them has people cheering for their successes everyday.

Children, know that everyday, we are rooting for you to try, try, and try again, to study hard, and to succeed in all of your academic endeavors.

Fill your heads with knowledge and understanding, your hearts with compassion, and your spirits with the beauty of friendship. Welcome back, children of Memphis. We wish you a beautiful and productive school year.

Is It Better to Settle Your Car Accident Case Outside of Court?

If you have never been in a car accident, you might not realize that most of these cases end up being resolved in a settlement, outside of court, often without anyone ever filing a lawsuit.
