Margaret Johnson

Attorney

Margaret R. Johnson practices in the area of personal injury specializing in motor vehicle and commercial semi-truck litigation and premises liability. She is licensed in Tennessee. Johnson is also admitted to practice Federal court in the Western District of Tennessee.

Johnson comes to us with a Bachelor of Arts degree in News-Editorial Journalism from the University of Memphis, so she is always prepared to ask the hard questions and do the heavy research and analysis that accompanies legal work.

Johnson had an epiphany that there was something more she needed to do to serve people. So she went to law school, and in December of 2005, she received a Juris Doctorate from Cecil C. Humphrey’s School of Law. During law school, she spent her second year interning at a large regional defense firm and her final year working at small firm handling employment discrimination cases. She began practicing in 2006 for a Memphis firm specializing in medical malpractice defense representing a major hospital and physicians.

Some of her strong suits include adaptability and being an open, honest and friendly human being who is easy to get along with. This makes her excellent at establishing and maintaining successful working relationships with our clients; and just as good at the settlement negotiations necessary to get our clients the compensation they deserve.

From overseeing initial client interview and understanding expectations, to drafting complaints, discovery, appearance at depositions, preparing trial documents and participating in settlement conferences, Johnson can manage all aspects of litigation. Her varied experiences have taught her how to do it all, so when Margaret Johnson is representing you, you know you will be covered from beginning to end.

A natural leader with the desire to serve people, Johnson is a 2008 graduate of the Leadership Academy with the Memphis Bar Association; she served on the Board of Directors for New Ballet Ensemble & School. She is currently on the WKNO Community Advisory Board and is the Legal Counsel to the Board of Her Faith Ministries.
