Attorney James Davis is a litigation associate at Reaves Law Firm, PLLC where he primarily practices in the area of personal injury law, focusing on motor vehicle and commercial semi-truck collisions, premises liability claims, and wrongful deaths. James Davis is a proud Memphian who was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. After graduating from George Washington Carver High School, Mr. Davis earned a Bachelor of Arts degree Criminology and Criminal Justice from the University of Memphis.

Mr. Davis received his law degree from the University Of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School Of Law, where he was an active member Black Law Students Association and a member of the Thurgood Marshall Mock Trial Team. During his time in law school, he interned in the legal department for Shelby County Schools, extern in the litigation department for the City of Memphis, and participated in the Medical-Legal Partnership Clinic with LeBonheur Children’s Hospital. In 2018, the Tennessee Supreme Court recognized Mr. Davis as a “Law Student for Justice” in recognition of his pro-bono service during law school. Mr. Davis is a member and a graduate of The Tennessee Bar Association Young Lawyers Division’s Diversity Leadership Institute (DLI).

Mr. Davis joined the Reaves Law Firm after graduating because of the commitment and dedication that the Reaves Law Firm has to its clients, the firm’s active role in the community, and the firm’s mission of fighting economic inequality in Memphis.
